The H2 programs provide a total foreign and domestic recruitment effort which ensures an adequate workforce through a certification process. The programs allow US employers in industries with seasonal, peak load or intermittent needs to augment their existing labor force with temporary workers. Typically, the H-2B program workers fill labor needs in occupational areas such as construction, landscaping, lumber, manufacturing, food service/processing and resort/hospitality services. The H-2A program applies to employers in agricultural industries. |
